Tetro’s 28 Lead Wallace State Women Past Chattanooga State, 66-41

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Wallace State women's basketball remained perfect on the season Saturday afternoon with a dominant 66-41 road victory over Chattanooga State, powered by a scorching shooting performance from Bailey Tetro.
The Lions set the tone early, jumping out to a 27-15 lead after the first quarter and carrying a 40-26 advantage into halftime. Defense controlled the tempo in the third quarter as both teams struggled to score, but Wallace State still managed to extend its lead to 47-29 heading into the final period before pulling away for the 25-point win.
Tetro led all scorers with a game-high 28 points, knocking down eight three-pointers while adding four rebounds and a steal. Idaysia Mercer followed with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a steal. Sinaya Gibson contributed 11 points, eight rebounds and a steal, while Kameron Sanders controlled the glass with a game-high 15 rebounds to go with six points and three assists.
Zamyra Goode added five points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in another strong all-around effort for the Lions.
With the win, Wallace State improves to 9-0 on the season. The Lions return home on Thursday, Dec. 11, when they host Motlow State.
