#14 Lions Serve Up an ACCC Women’s Tennis Championship
Millbrook, Ala. — The 14th-ranked Wallace State women's tennis team captured the 2025
ACCC Championship last Saturday at 17 Springs in Millbrook, Ala. The win is their
third consecutive ACCC Championship.
After day one of the tournament, the Lions trailed Coastal Alabama South 18-17 but
rallied on day two to capture the title.
In singles, No.1 Noelle D’Angelillo finished an undefeated conference season by winning
the #1 conference singles. Sophia Baillos won the #2 conference singles title. Freshmen
Jaedyn Martin and Indira Wilson brought home the #3 and #4 singles titles and the
#2 doubles title.According to coach Tim Garner, the two biggest wins of the tournament belonged to
Joslyn Newton and Chloe Baines, who won points at #5 and #6 singles on the tournament's
opening day.
Up Next: The Lions will hit the road to Tyler, Texas, for the National Tournament. They are
looking for a second consecutive top-10 performance.

D’Angelillo was named the ACCC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year.
D’Angelillo, Wilson, and Martin were named to the ACCC Women’s Tennis All-Conference
First-Team.
